In order to get the most out of YO VOCAB CARDS, and to ensure that you cover the entire vocabulary list that is provided, here are some simple tips and tricks that you can follow.

Acquaint yourself with the entire vocabulary list
Before you start using YO VOCAB CARDS, it would be a good idea to browse through the entire vocabulary list that is provided. In order to do so, click on the File menu and select Meanings and More. The Meanings and More dialog box is displayed, showing the first vocabulary item from the databank in a dropdown list, while its details are displayed in a separate text box below.
You can browse through the entire list using the Up/Down arrow keys, or you can type the first letter of a vocabulary item. For example, typing 'p' will take you to the first vocabulary item starting with the letter 'p', while typing 'zy' in quick succession will take you to the first vocabulary item starting with the letters 'zy'.

Print the Vocabulary Index
In order to ensure that you cover the entire vocabulary list, print the Vocabulary Index, and keep it handy. Each time you print Flash Cards, Snap Cards or Quiz Cards, tick the vocabulary items on the index.

Print the Vocabulary Count
Another way to ensure that you cover the entire vocabulary list, is to print the Vocabulary Count (print it Alphabetically, or by Subjects and Age Groups, or by Difficulty Levels, depending on how you wish to go through the entire list). Using this method, you would be aware of the number of vocabulary items that are available by these classifications.

Some more suggestions to cover the entire vocabulary list :
Here are some more suggestions:

Search for Vocabulary Items by Age Groups - Select the relevant Age Group in the Create (Flash/ Snap/ Quiz) Cards dialog box, and leave all the other fields blank. This way you will be able to cover the vocabulary list based on Age Groups.

Search for Vocabulary Items by Subjects - Select the relevant Subject in the Create (Flash/ Snap/ Quiz) Cards dialog box, and leave all the other fields blank. This way you will be able to cover the vocabulary list based on Subjects.

Search for Vocabulary Items by Difficulty Level - Select the relevant Difficulty Level in the Create (Flash/ Snap/ Quiz) Cards dialog box, and leave all the other fields blank. This way you will be able to cover the vocabulary list based on Difficulty Levels.

Search for Vocabulary Items beginning with a letter - Type a* in the Advanced Search field in the Create (Flash/ Snap/ Quiz) Cards dialog box, and leave all the other fields blank. Vocabulary items beginning with 'a' will be brought forth. Follow this pattern for the rest of the letters; b*, c*, d* etc.

Begin with Flash Cards
Flash Cards are a convenient way to improve your vocabulary. YO VOCAB Flash Cards are printed with various details of the vocabulary item, like its Pronunciation, Part of Speech, and Short Meaning.

You can also print a maximum of three additional details like Age Group, Difficulty Level, Subject, Long Meaning, Origin, Usage Example, Synonym, Antonym, Homonym, Homograph, Homophone, and Related Vocabulary. By default, the Long Meaning, Usage Example and Related Vocabulary are selected as additional details.

Graduate to Snap Cards and Quiz Cards
YO VOCAB Snap Cards can be used to improve your vocabulary and memory. They can also be used to play a variety of entertaining games, either on your own or with family and friends. Snap Cards are printed as a pair - one contains the Vocabulary Item, while the second one contains its Short Meaning.

Snap Cards can be printed with or without the Snap Cards Reference Sheet, which lists the vocabulary items along with their short meanings. The Snap Cards Reference Sheet is very helpful during a Snap Card Game, to decide if a player has matched a pair of Snap Cards correctly.

YO VOCAB Quiz Cards let you prepare and take vocabulary quizzes in several interesting formats. It is suggested that you print Quiz Cards for the vocabulary items in sequence, for example , print Quiz Cards for all vocabulary items beginning with ‘a’, then 'b’ and so on. Quiz Cards can be very useful when preparing for a vocabulary-based exam.

As explained above, in order to avoid printing multiple Flash Cards /Snap Cards/Quiz Cards of the same vocabulary item, it is suggested that you print the Vocabulary Index, and mark the vocabulary items whose Cards are printed each time. For better management of these Cards, you may want to store them either Alphabetically, or by Subjects, or by Age Groups, or by Difficulty Levels.

Note : The recommended setting for the printer Paper Size is A4. If you are using a duplex printer, please do not select    duplex printing option. Print on one side of the page only.
