1) How do I install YO VOCAB CARDS PACK 1, 2, or 3 (U.S. or U.K. Edition)?

Before installing, check the System Requirements and the available disk space.

YO VOCAB CARDS PACKS 1, 2, and 3 are available in the U.S. and U.K. English editions. The name of the setup file for the U.S. English edition is YOVOCABCARPK(version)US.exe, while that for the U.K. English edition is YOVOCABCARPK(version)UK.exe. Here, the 'version' indicates whether the setup file is that of PACK 1, 2, or 3.

Installation from a downloaded setup

		1.	Download and save the YOVOCABCARPK(version)US.exe or YOVOCABCARPK(version)UK.exe file.
		2.	Locate the YOVOCABCARPK(version)US.exe or YOVOCABCARPK(version)UK.exe file saved on your system.
		3.	Double-click the YOVOCABCARPK(version)US.exe or YOVOCABCARPK(version)UK.exe file to start the installation

Once you finish installing YO VOCAB CARDS, a shortcut icon followed by PACK (version) (U.S. Edition) or PACK (version) (U.K. Edition) is created on the desktop. Additionally, you can also access the software by following the steps below:

Click the Start button on Windows, point to Programs, select Remittag, select YO VOCAB, and click CARDS PACK (version) (U.S. Edition) or CARDS PACK (version) (U.K. Edition).

The default path where the software is installed is C:\Program Files\Remittag\YO VOCAB\CARDS\PACK (version)-US, or C:\Program Files\Remittag\YO VOCAB\CARDS\PACK (version)-UK where C: will be replaced with the letter of your system drive.

2) How do I install YO VOCAB CARDS MEGA PACK (U.S. or U.K. Edition)?

Before installing, check the System Requirements and the available disk space.

YO VOCAB CARDS MEGA PACK is available in the U.S. and U.K. English editions. The name of the setup file for the U.S. English edition is YOVOCABCARMEGAUS.exe, while that for the U.K. English edition is YOVOCABCARMEGAUK.exe.

	Note:
	The setup program will issue a number of prompts. Unless you have a reason to overwrite the defaults, it is strongly recommended that you accept the default settings during the installation.
	The software does not support the Compatibility Mode feature of Windows* XP. Hence, it is recommended that you do not change the default settings. To confirm this, right-click on the shortcut icon on your desktop, click Properties, and click on the Compatibility tab. The Run this program in compatibility mode for check box should be unchecked.

3) What is the minimum system configuration required for YO VOCAB CARDS?

To use YO VOCAB CARDS, your system should be equipped with the following:

4) How should I use the Create (Flash/Snap/Quiz) Cards dialog box?

From the Create menu, click on a Card format; or click on the respective button on the Main Screen. The Create (Flash/ Snap/ Quiz) Cards dialog box is displayed.

Select an Age Group if required. For example, General, Juniors or Seniors

Select a Subject (if required). For example, History, Geography, Science, and so on.

Select a Difficulty Level (if required). For example: Low, Normal, or High.

Note: You can select any combination of Age Group and Subject for your search. However, a Difficulty Level can only be selected separately, as the Difficulty Level is not dependent on either an Age Group or a Subject. Also note that it is not mandatory for you to select one or more classifications, and you are free to leave these blank. In fact, leaving one or more classifications blank will result in a wider selection of vocabulary items.

Using the Advanced Search field, you can refine your search criteria to bring forth specific vocabulary items. This is made possible by combining specific letters with wildcard characters such as '*' and �?', and the SPACE key. For example, you could search for all vocabulary items beginning with the letter �a�, by typing �a*�; or you could search for all five letter vocabulary items, by typing �?????�.

The SPACE key represents an OR condition. Use the SPACE key between your search characters or conditions to look for vocabulary items that fulfill either the first condition OR the second condition. For example, searching for a*(SPACE key) b* will find vocabulary items starting with either 'a' OR 'b', for example: ajar, aisle, abaca, babble, babouche etc.

Do also note that you can combine the Advanced Search field with the Age Group, Subject, or Difficulty Level fields. Doing so may result in fewer vocabulary items being brought forth. In such a case, revise your selection criteria.

Click OK. Depending on the search criteria, the relevant vocabulary items will be brought forth in the (Flash/ Snap/ Quiz) Cards result grid.

	Note:
	To clear all fields and cancel selections, click Reset.
	Not entering/selecting any fields from the Create (Flash/ Snap/ Quiz) Cards dialog box will bring forth vocabulary items based on all the criteria.
	When you open the Create (Flash/Snap/Quiz) Cards dialog box, the last criteria entered/selected (if any) will be displayed. However, this criteria will not be stored once you exit the software.

5) Why do I sometimes not get a large number of vocabulary items in the result grid?

Depending upon your selection criteria in the Advanced Search field, you may sometimes get a small number of vocabulary items in the result grid.

In fact, if you make too many selections, you may not get any vocabulary items at all! For example, if you select Juniors as the Age Group, Law as the Subject, and enter a combination of wildcard characters and the SPACE key, you are likely to face very few or no vocabulary items at all.

If your selection does not bring forth any vocabulary items, you will encounter the following message:

'Please make a new selection, as no vocabulary items were found for your current selection'.

In such a case, you will need to revise your selection. See Tips & Tricks for suggested methods to bring forth all the vocabulary items.

6) Can I choose not to print any additional details of the vocabulary item in the Body of the Flash Cards?

You have to choose at least one (and a maximum of three) of the additional details of the vocabulary items, to be printed.

7) Is it possible to print any other details besides the Short Meaning on the Snap Cards?

No. Snap Cards can only be printed with the Short Meaning and the Vocabulary Item.

8) What is the minimum and maximum number of Flash Cards/Snap Cards that I can print at one time?

You can print a minimum of one Flash Card, or one pair of Snap Cards at any one time. There is no maximum limit - you can print all the vocabulary items contained in the databank at one time.

A maximum of eight Flash Cards/four pairs of Snap Cards can be printed on each page.

9) What is the minimum and maximum number of vocabulary items that can appear in a Quiz Card?

A Quiz Card can be printed with a minimum of one vocabulary item. There is no maximum limit to the number of vocabulary items that can be printed at one time.

The maximum number of vocabulary items that can be printed per page will vary in number, depending on the quiz format.

10) Why do the Header/Footer changes not appear on all Cards?

The Header and Footer can be customized from the Tools menu. The changes will reflect only in the Quiz Cards and the Snap Cards Reference Sheet.

11) How many Versions are available in YO VOCAB CARDS?

YO VOCAB CARDS is currently available in three PACKS as well as a MEGA PACK, each of which allows you to print Flash Cards, Snap Cards, and Quiz Cards. However, each version differs in the quiz formats that can be printed from the Quiz Cards module.

YO VOCAB CARDS PACK 1 allows you to print Quiz Cards in the Multiple Choice, Acrossword, and Word Juggler formats.

YO VOCAB CARDS PACK 2 allows you to print Quiz Cards in the Multiple Choice, Hang-Over, and Memory Challenge formats.

YO VOCAB CARDS PACK 3 allows you to print Quiz Cards in the Multiple Choice, Match Maker, and Fill in the Blanks formats.

YO VOCAB CARDS MEGA PACK allows you to print Quiz Cards in the Multiple Choice, Acrossword, Word Juggler, Hang-Over, Memory Challenge, Match Maker, and Fill in the Blanks formats.
